Friends ~ Happy PPF 😊

Hello!

Hope everyone had a great week.

Seems our heat has started to calm down now and we've even had a nice drop or two of rain.
It's lovely, of an evening, to hop into the nightie and dressing-gown again with cosy socks on - yay!

This week's entry is some more of my face sketches.

I was inspired after scrolling through facebook last Sunday when I saw a beautiful photo on a family member's post. She'd been to a wedding and was enjoying a lovely moment with her good friends.

Of course, with my stylised way of sketching faces, I haven't done them justice but their brilliant smiles, gorgeous dresses and the friendship they share I hope does come through:

  3. And hasn't it cooled off! Yes - it's PJs Dressing Gown and bed socks at the ready lol
The afternoons have been glorious though - sunny and dry (shush I shouldn't be saying that word) Going to be in the 20s for the next few days so there might be some gardening done......removing all the dried up dead and scorched stuff to see what holes have to be plugged.
Love those sketches of your friends Sue - they look like happy people
    Take care

  7. Sue you have captured those happy faces beautifully a very happy Trio indeed. Using pen is one of my favourite ways to contain watercolours giving it a look of it's own. A wonderful study that you should be very very proud of.

  23. I too love your new header. I like the way the pretty leaves stand out whilst the greenery in the background is soft and less focused. You are good at photography as well as painting and drawing. You capture so well the happiness and friendship in your sketch of the three ladies.

  25. Glad you had a change of weather, and it's become cooler.
Artists that sketch faces can get quite a lot of money in our neck of the woods. There's a weekly crafts fair, in a central place, and people are attracted by the opportunity to have their portrait done by a talented sketcher.

Oh yes, I've seen some of those artists - they're so quick too. That's a gift most certainly, to be able to sketch amongst a crowd, noise, distractions and produce such lovely portraits.
      Thanks for your visit :D)
