Slowing Down ~ Happy PPF !

Was getting myself in a right tizz this morning.

Lots of things to do/should do/wish I could do/wish I had done....in real life and online...

!! gasp!! ... I even thought about skipping Paint Party Friday today because I couldn't make a decision to save myself.

Silly self thoughts: "Come on woman - you're pushing seventy and still carrying on like a pork chop!!"

Then the very words I'd sent to a beautiful blogger friend last week came hurtling right back at me...
Simon and Garfunkel's song:

Slow down, you move too fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feeling groovy

I got inspired and, as I sometimes do, broke out in cartoon-ish:
I never wear red lippie in real life, but I do in my fantasies
Same with the hair, it's all flowing and curly in fantasy-land
ooooh, I always love those thin ankles that appear... like magic!

ahhhhhhh relax - breathe - cool!
Oh yes, I should add that, for the sake of propriety, the clouds are concealing my very sensible undergarments [wink]

Here's said video - thanks boys!

🎨  Thanks so much for dropping by - I'm back to sensible Sue now I've got that out of my system! 🎨

Boiled Eggs and Ice Cream

Can't get more specific than that for a title lol !

We'll just keep this little snippet between us - ok ;D)

MD and I had settled down in front of telly last night and we both heard a rattling sound.  Thought it was outside.  Ignored it, kept on watching the box... sound kept on, in the end I got up to investigate.
Hah!!  I'd put some eggs on to boil for a light dinner - eggs and salad - and totally forgotten them.
Oh, the joys of oldedom eh!

~~~~~~~/\~~~~~~
Coffee Cream on top of Honeycomb Crunch - oh bliss, oh joy !!
Bye for now ;D) xx
just in passing...
Nice to be warned ;D)
Poor abandoned waif!
Even Pelicans like a chip with their fish!
No way!!
I was taught never to follow strange trucks ;D)
Finally, another little bit of my art.  You will see I was being monitored very closely by a couple of feathery art critics.....
Thank you for passing my way... have a beautiful day :D) xx
Morning started with a jolt!!
Really lovely to be back again and, oh my goodness, how beaut to have such a happy reunion with everyone too - many thanks for all your visits.
I'm ignoring my old inclinations of the past to prepare properly for a post.  Spontaneous Susan has hit town!!
The Jolt:
First thing, MD made us a lovely coffee as is the usual routine...
Just to keep things on the level - this wasn't the actual cup of this morning, it's from one a few years' ago that he created for my Coffee Art blog.
.... anyhow, I felt something in it as I scooped out my first teaspoon of foam.  Didn't think too much of it - presuming it was a lump of cocoa sprinkle.
Ummmm, nooooo, when I got to the end, there was this small dark cylinder shape thing which looked too much like something awful (No Photos... it really does look similar)...
I went into pre-panic mode (which is still not a pretty sight even though it's only pre!! Lol!!).
Then post-panic mode (slightly less not pretty)
          .... then realised it was the perished lining of the plastic steaming spout on the coffee making machine!
Oh Bliss...
Oh Joy....
Phew....   is that all it was - yay, yes.  Oh thank goodness.
Enjoy every bit of your day - we intend to :D) xx
Gone Fishing
Well, not really, but it fits with another cute letterbox we found on a recent drive:
Have an enjoyable day!
The Day of the Kipper draws near
0.99cents Special on Kippers...  MD couldn't resist.
Look at them, resting so innocently on the fridge shelf.  Never would you guess that they suffered serious body odour.
But the day of their cooking is coming closer.
Bless his heart... he said he'll cook them out on the verandah - yay!
this one is for Claire
An Aussie bloggerfriend Claire of Sweet Birdy Love is in New York at the moment, suffering bad Vegemite withdrawal because, oh dear, she forgot to pack some.
While making brekky this morning, I thought of her.... and so, here you are Claire.... this one's for you:
... uh oh, guess who wanted to get into the act too !!
Enjoy your holiday Claire and cheers for now :D)
