we're happy little vegemites .....

~ an early television jingle dear to the hearts of all of us Aussie kids who were around when TV was first broadcast in Australia. (Oh, the seductive power of advertising!). Even today, I occasionally reach past the cholesterol-lowering margarine for the butter, slather it on some toast and add a smear of Vegemite - yum!
So that's peculiar to us Aussies. It'd be fun, and interesting, to know what childhood comfort food memories others in the world have.....
