Bonsai Blossom ~ Happy PPF!

Hello!
Continuing to enjoy our Springtime - some days are cool to cold,  some are warm to fairly hot.
Seems word has been spread amongst the plants, and they seem to be adapting to the chaotic patterns that our weather brings.
Here's my entry for this week's Paint Party Friday... blossoms, bonsai, some old card that had a previous life, a bit of a dab here and there and it all came together happily:
"Bonsai Blossom" Card
re-using an old painting for collage, watercolour and inkpen

~ thanks for your visit... have a great weekend ~

    1. Lovely of you to say, thanks Valerie. Our Son and my Hubby are both into bonsai, so it does influence my paintings... I too love the gracefulness of the branches when you see them in real life. Happy PPF 🎋🎨

  7. I can never re use an old picture, somehow, I think I usually give up on pictures if I don't like the design, so it is hard to change. I am very impressed that you have made a lovely job of this. So cheerful too.

    1. Hi Jenny, yes, I used to think like that but reckon I'd beat up on myself too much when a painting or card doesn't go to plan, so this way its kind of a plan 'b' ;D)

Yes, I remember your posts on longwood gardens. Fantastic.
We also see a lot of bonsai when we've been overseas. I love the pots as much as the plants. Have a great weekend xx

The feeling I get is one of happiness, also I love how when painting it keeps my mind mind totally focused on just the painting to the exclusion of everything else, including if there's a few aches and pains they seem to disappear during the process too.
Thanks for your lovely visit xx

  29. love this little Bonsai... I signed up last year for a little online art class doing bonsai thingies...then, I broke my wrist and didn't do anything ...maybe I can get back to something this year. I don't really know how to paint, but I do love putting some paint on water-colour paper... mostly I love the feel of the paper I guess.
