flowers every which way ~ Happy PPF !

Hello !

A little late but here are some abstracty kind of paintings as my entry for yesterday's Paint Party Friday - where the happiest of artists gather, and everyone's welcome:

#1 - digital art

#2 - white pen on watercolour

#3 - digital art
The 2 digital art pieces were done on my tablet which I use while lying back in my comfy chair instead of sitting at a table or standing at an easel.

Gosh I love technology!!

Click on this PPF Button below and you'll be taken to see a lovely gathering of gorgeous art:

  16. Oh wow, that last piece is gorgeous! The strong bright colours and the texture, really beautiful ... I keep thinking I should try to do some digital art but somehow I never get around to it. Still love the feel of paint on my fingers too much I think ;-) But some day I'll try it! Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Thanks so much Denthe. I'd love to see what you would create digitally. Yes, I too love the hands-on painting feel, but sitting back in my chair and being able to paint while resting with the tablet on my lap is the ultimate in luxury... it's playful and relaxing - something different! Cheers and enjoy your weekend too :D) xx

    1. Hi Monica, my tablet is also a simple one but I chose one with a stylus pen and had a lot of trouble initially but it's now an alternative source of fun! Hope you will find yours so too. Cheers! :D) xx

  23. All your flower photos are so happy looking! Glad to read you do digital too. I was pretty much only doing digital for the last few years but just recently went back to "real" paint - the kind you have to clean up when you are done and put away - that's a drag but I enjoyed making a mess again at my table.

    1. Hi Sandy, sorry I missed this comment but I make a point of going back and checking every so often :D)
It's lovely painting in both ways isn't it, the digital I save for my 'resting' times in the lounge chair... lol, messing with paints - when you're in the mood - is wonderful too.
      Cheers :D) xx

  24. These digital artworks are tremendous, Sue.
I really love the first one, minimalist and graphic and just enough colour.
The third one is so different and I really like it too. That's a bright tablecloth!
I wonder which app you use on your tablet and do you use an actual pen/pencil thing to draw?
I hope you are picking up these comments on older posts now that you don't have email.
Have a great week (this week).
    love

I use the 3D Paint app that came with my tablet and I use the stylus pen that was part of the package. It's fun to use.
Just a little by the by though, if you're considering buying a tablet and pen - get a good brand. Mine was a cheaper version and there were problems with screen scratching by the pen and, of course, the Seller, Kogan, offered no after sales service at all.
In the end, I put a screen protector on and ignore the scratches and get on with it!
Cheers, and lovely to have your comments :D) xx

I'll look into it a bit more.
You've got great results with this app.
