I promise this will be my last mention of word verification - lol, I guess there's no one worse than a reformed user!!!
I was trying to leave a comment on a blog this morning and had to have 3 tries .... I saved the image of this one as a 'for instance'
there's an e an i or is it an n? or an e i c .... aw, you get the picture - 'nuff said, it's a real turn-off.
I thank Theresa of The Run *Around* Ranch Report who got the ball rolling about this ages ago, and then more recently, Robyn of 2012 Through a Camera Lens.
From all the comments yesterday, it's unanimous - word verification is soooo yesterday :D)

Last lot of the Gardens pics:

![]() |
| The gardens provide work for many people. They unobtrusively snip snip their way through the gardens non-stop. We always like to appreciate the people who do the actual work. |
![]() |
| A tree trunk put to good use. Chiang means elephant, and as the gardens are in the Province of Chiang Rai, elephants feature in many things. |
![]() |
| Drinking water is always available in stone jars throughout the gardens - it stays surprisingly cool too. |

| The Royal Villa in the background |

| Fantastic views of the Doi Ton hills abound |
My photos have only touched on a tiny portion of these gardens.
Thank you for enjoying them with me.

wow. that carved tree trunk is gorgeous! and the blooms, too. thanks for the shout-out on the anti-word verification message!
ReplyDeleteThanks Theresa, the detail of the tree trunk was amazing!
DeleteAnother lot of beautiful photos! That carved tree stump is amazing! It looks such a peaceful place; how could you leave? lol
ReplyDeleteNice of you to say Maria... we could have stayed the whole day there, but had planned on going to other places as well. It's definitely a place I'd re-visit :D)
DeleteWhat beautiful pictures.. and mountains...
ReplyDeleteThat word verification is actually better than the one they had before, not that this is saying much!
Thanks very much Jenny :D)
DeleteOh Susan these are beautiful photos. The carved tree is amazing just as we seem to all agree.
ReplyDeleteI do not have word verification and I find myself not leaving comments as I am not very good at guessing games or puzzles. I tried three times yesterday also and then I just gave up it was like yours. It is way to frustrating.
Thanks for the great photos. B
Thanks for your feedback B, always appreciated :D)
DeleteThank YOU for sharing these lovely photos of these beautiful gardens. I am left in awe of the talents there.
ReplyDeleteThank YOU for bringing up the word verification fiasco. I hope everyone follows suit.
Thanks Jill - they don't have noisy lawn mowers going, just the quiet snip snip of clippers... even on the lawns!
DeleteYes, such talented people :D)
I love the view of the mountains and the orchids are to die for. I whole heartedly agree with the word verification rubbish.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have the weather in which to grow such orchids - but the humidity would get me down too much! They were definitely glorious to walk among :D)
DeleteLovely photos once more Susan! I really love Thailand, the landscapes are attractive and the Thai very gentle!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, WV is a nonsense. Sadly there are a few spams going around but the new WV is impossible to read! I deactivated mine as i had a few frustrated blog-friends who complained and they were right, it just took me ages to work out how to do it as there is no setting for it on the new interface that i have been using for 5 months now! But i made it in the end!
Yes DeeBee, we found that the Thais love to create beautiful surroundings, be they parks or tiny little gardens - or just a small collection of pots.
DeleteHi susan thanks for dropping bye , what beautiful photo's looks as if it was a peaceful place to be!!
ReplyDeleteand im sooooo guilty of word verification i know i should take a few minutes to fix it been a bit slack with the blog over these past few months!!
Blessings Heidi :-)
Hello Heidi and welcome to my blog :D) Thank you, glad you enjoy the photos and, yes, it was such a peaceful place in which to meander.
DeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteWow those photographs are absolutely beautiful.
I hope that you have a lovely weekend
and I agree totally with you about that horrible
word verification thing!
x Fiona
Many thanks Fiona - I have trouble choosing which ones to use!! It was overwhelming all the photo opportunities at the gardens and nursery :D)
DeleteYour photos are amazing. What a beautiful garden. I am enjoying seeing it through your blog!

Hi Linda, it's beaut you're enjoying it - that's what I like too... travelling through others' blogs :D)
DeleteI have the same trouble with trying to decipher the words too, Susan. Sadly.... It's putting me off commenting on some blogs. Love all your pictures of your trip. Thank you. Maa
ReplyDeleteIt's the two-way interaction of blogging that I enjoy too. Beaut you're loving the pics! :D)
DeleteI would love to have a garden like this.
ReplyDelete... oh yes Joan, wouldn't it be dream-like to just be able to wander at will through all that :D)

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Lea - your poetry is touching.
Deletethat carved tree trunk is awesome! well, so are ALL the pictures from the garden!!
ReplyDeleteand i agree on the word verification...life is too short...
Aren't people so skilled and talented - we saw incredible carvings throughout our travels.
DeleteAll along the main highways in the divider strips there are beautiful plantings - it's definitely an overwhelming flora experience to visit Thailand!
wow....amazing detail on that carved tree trunk, it reminds me of the tree of life in disney!! beautiful, colorful gardens, so happy to be reconnecting with you!!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, thankyou and it's lovely to be settled back into blogland too. I hope you keep resting and each day feel just that much better :D) xx
DeleteWhat glorious gardens and the photos are great! I backtracked so I could view the previous photos too. Love the woodcut elephants and the 'tufted' tree :). Thanks for mentioning my 2012 photo blog. Haven't had any new followers but have had a few new commenters and hope my explanation of how to turn off word verification and alternative methods of spam filtering work for them.
ReplyDeleteVery glad to be visiting a WV free blog :D!
Thank you Robyn, my camera took on a mind of its own in the end!!
DeleteI love to visit your photo blog - you take a unique view of the everday things around us :D)
