" "What are you trying to say with this photograph?" is the most fundamental of questions regarding creative photography." ~ Brenda Tharp (Creative Nature & Outdoor Photography... a gift from My Darling)
...... a quiet, momentary feeling that time has stood still
....... the occupants may still be asleep, but with the early morning sun reflection it seems to me that the house itself has decided it's time to awaken
~ Vicki, and that's exactly how it felt too :D They were taken on the last morning of 2010 ... I can't put my finger on it as to exactly why, but it seemed quite significant :)
I'm not very analytical. I don't qualify or quantify most things I do... especially photography.
I just take a picture of things that appeal to me when I'm standing there admiring ... for whatever reason ...and I don't even question it. If I like it.... good enough.... and if it turns out not blurry...and feels as good when I see it on the computer or paper as it did in real life... great...
~ BumbleVee, yes I understand what you're saying, and that's how I always approach my photography. I take pictures of what I like too... big bonus if they turn out (esp prior to the digital age!) - with today's cameras - Wow! Such fun!
At this stage of my life, it pleases me to delve just a little bit further, to study up on something... get what's remaining in the old brain box going again!! The book I mentioned deals with photographics on many levels - one of them being emotional. That struck a chord... by taking what appeals from my book, I'm becoming that much more aware of what's around me, in a pleasurable way... It's something that MD and I are sharing too, so that's another bonus!
Cheers and thanks for your comment :D
~ Dmarie, I do thank you, and it seems that every day there's just more fun to be had with the camera.. why, sometimes, I don't even get time to do the housework!!! :O ;-)
