Happy New Year 2017

Happiness, good health and peace are my wishes to you for this year.

May kindness abound in your lives

A funny little thing happened this morning.

Yesterday afternoon, MD shooed off a dog from attacking a wandering chook in our front yard and so she stuck around for a while and generally made herself at home in the garden, then disappeared.

This morning, I heard a noise just outside the window .... and, look who spent the night with us:

"Well, Good Morning!!  and a Happy New Year to you

Cheers now and see you over at yours :D)

  5. Do you think she will stay a while? If so, she found the perfect home. Very nice painting of the pasture and sheep. Happy New Year! ♫

    1. Hi Suzanne, if she shows up on our verandah again it may well mean she's adopted us. Our verandah is high up from the ground so she chose wisely, well away from dogs.
Glad you liked my painting, thank you. I love doing them and have found a painting meme I'll join in with perhaps next week.
Lovely having you visit and I certainly wish you all the best for much happiness this year. Hugs xx

    1. Hi Diane, yes, she's quite happy here... this has been the third night she's stayed! I'll do a little update post soon. We were hoping to get the 6 chooks we'd ordered prior to Christmas, strange how things happen isn't it!

    1. Great to have you visit Barbara, hello! I hope you do enjoy having a look through my various ramblings. I did a quick visit to yours and while I'm not on G+ I found your blogspot and am knocked out at your research on Ivy Wallace and her Pookie books - my all-time favourite childhood books! Thanks for dropping by :D)

  11. That is cute! she knows what is good for her, I think she'll do well in life!
Your garden looks so sunny and warm compared with the grey darkness outside here in England. Have a wonderful 2017!

    1. Thanks Jenny, she's a goer all right. When the dog was after her she squawked like crazy - no mistaking that she was in trouble. She knows how to look after herself... but, like we humans, needs a helping hand sometimes :D)
Glad we Aussies can spread some sunshine around - gotta say though, even if it is grey and dark over there at the moment, the scenery is spectacular!
Cheers now and really great to see you.
