Cherry Pickin' Time

Tloml disappeared out the door with my best quiche dish under his arm.  "Where are you going with that?"  says I, not resting until I'm assured it wouldn't be put to use for one of his projects in the shed ........ and,  by so doing,  I spoilt the surprise of his first harvest of bright red cherries being brought to me on a lovely white dish!  Ah well, such is life when you've got a wife ....... ha ha ;-)
Injustices quickly forgotten, the past few days have been happily spent nibbling home grown succulent cherries - delish!!

Oooooh my tummy hurts !!

  1. Hi Susan,
Thank you so much for your encouragement and words, they are much appreciated. Christmas is galloping towards me so I need to pick up the pace, something about consciously deciding to relax that slows one down...
I adore your photos! Don't stop taking them!
    Kindest,
    Vicki

  2. Hi Vicki, welcome to my blog and for your kind words :)

Just going into town for the shopping these days, the pace is frenetic. We try to shop at the quiet time of day ... nah, no such thing for at least another couple of months now!!

    Enjoy your Christmas :D

  3. Cherries! I'm in seventh heaven... Well, I will be when I get my hands on some. :)

I'm very jealous that yours came off you own tree.

    Cheers

  4. Hi there Vicki ... oh yes, seventh heaven - you're so right!!
The best thing about cherries, we found, is one can eat and eat to no ill effect. (Teensy bear in the pic is just a sook).
We went cherry picking one year at Young - ended up it was hot as hell and the pay was lousy but we had an absolute ball with the other cherry pickers. Also, I think we ate as much as we picked, so, all in all things evened out pretty well ;-)
